DEVIL´S POINT is a small town, that arose some decades ago as a village around the fishing of the shark. During World War II the oil of the liver of these animal was extracted, by its rich vitamin content To and it was exported. Then, responding to the national demand it is begun to sell the dry and salty meat (charque), commercializing it like similar-codfish.

At the beginning of the decade of ´90, to attractive the tourist one that already it had been shortage some years ago, the grant of electrical infrastructure to the place was added, meaning the beginning of a process of sustained growth of the town like spa.
